Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 lineup could finally bring a major improvement to foldable display creases, according to new leaks from Ice Universe. The leaker claims Samsung’s latest crease control technology is now “just as impressive” as the nearly invisible crease found on the OPPO Find N6.
This marks a shift from earlier rumors suggesting the Fold 8 would see little improvement. Ice Universe now says newer versions of the device have significantly reduced the crease.
Samsung previously showcased crease-free foldable display technology at CES 2026, hinting that the company has been actively working on solving one of foldables’ biggest design flaws.
The leak also suggests Samsung recently renamed its foldable lineup, with the original Fold 8 becoming the Fold 8 Ultra, while the former Fold 8 Wide may now launch simply as the Fold 8. Samsung is expected to unveil the devices in July.
