Xiaomi may be preparing its own wide-screen foldable smartphone, following the launch of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 and upcoming foldable efforts from Apple.
An image of the device has reportedly appeared in Xiaomi’s HyperOS 4 beta update, showing a wide inner display with relatively thick bezels and a distinctive camera layout. The software also appears optimized for the wider foldable form factor.
While Xiaomi has not officially confirmed the device, the image is the strongest indication yet that a wide-screen foldable is in development. If launched, Xiaomi would join Samsung and Apple in a growing premium foldable market.
