Apple is reportedly developing a new screenless health and fitness tracker designed to compete with devices such as WHOOP and Google Fitbit Air.
The device is still in the early prototype stage and reportedly consists of a thin fabric band with a sensor-equipped module, without a display. Apple is said to be focusing on health and fitness tracking rather than apps and notifications.
The project may not launch before 2028, if Apple decides to release it at all. Apple executives Tim Cook and Eddy Cue are reportedly interested in the device, while members of the company’s Vision hardware team are also involved in its development.
