Apple has officially launched Apple Pay in India, nearly 12 years after first introducing the service. The rollout initially supports Axis Bank-issued Visa and Mastercard credit cards.
India becomes the 101st country or region where Apple Pay is available. The launch expands Apple’s growing presence in the Indian market, where the company has seen strong iPhone sales and increased manufacturing activity.
