South Korean tech giants Samsung and Naver are jointly developing a generative AI platform for business users to compete with global AI tools like ChatGPT and Bard.
Naver, South Korea’s largest network and search engine operator, will receive semiconductor-related data from Samsung as part of the partnership to create generative artificial intelligence, which Samsung will then further improve on its own. Initially, the product will be tested within the company, but later there are plans to expand it to the number of users.
The aim is to make the artificial intelligence tool public already in October.
In the form of a new product, Samsung is getting an in-house AI tool that improves productivity by preventing the potential leakage of sensitive business secrets that can happen when using platforms developed by other companies. Naver thereby increases its chances of successfully entering the global enterprise artificial intelligence market.
