Apple: if iPhone is less repairable, it increases it´s durability

Apple conducts rigorous, scientific durability tests on new iPhones in their own lab, as shown in videos shared by Marques Brownlee (MKBHD). These tests include various water resistance evaluations and drop tests using robots and advanced cameras. Unlike unscientific YouTube durability tests, Apple uses sophisticated equipment and materials to identify and fix weaknesses, testing over 10,000 pre-release devices. Apple’s Head of Hardware Engineering, John Ternus, explained that iPhones are intentionally made less repairable to enhance durability, with features like waterproofing seals making repairs more challenging but improving overall sturdiness.
