Tesla unveiled self-driving robotaxi

Tesla CEO Elon Musk unveiled a new self-driving electric vehicle, the robotaxi, which lacks a steering wheel or pedals and charges wirelessly. This futuristic vehicle is expected to cost as little as $0.20 per mile and aims to be 10-20 times safer than human-driven cars. Tesla plans to roll out autonomous driving in Texas and California next year, with production by 2026 or 2027. However, regulatory approval is required before production can begin. Despite Tesla’s push for full autonomy, the company faces scrutiny over its driver-assist systems and competition from companies like Waymo and Cruise.
