Artist Jose Wong has transformed Apple’s running shoe emoji into a real sneaker, The Shoe 1, available through his ABCD brand for $219.90. The sneakers, shipping in about a week, feature a nubuck leather and mesh upper, lightweight EVA foam midsole and a rubber outsole made with 5% recycled material.
The design nods to Apple with electronics-themed insoles referencing the A(BCD)5 processor and minimalist packaging inspired by Apple’s product boxes. Its silhouette resembles the New Balance 574, though Steve Jobs was more often seen in the 991 and 992 designs.
