Google is rolling out big Gemini Android redesign

Google is rolling out another major visual update to its Gemini overlay and Gemini Live, continuing a rapid series of redesigns.

The updated overlay now combines attachments and Tools into a single menu, with a cleaner layout and easier access to features like Photos, Camera, file uploads and AI tools such as image, video and music generation.

Gemini Live also gets a new floating interface, replacing the old full-screen view. It features a central waveform, quick controls for screen sharing and keyboard input and can shrink into a smaller bubble while you navigate your phone.

These changes are currently appearing in beta (Google app version 17.3), with a wider release expected soon.
