Google has quietly launched AI Edge Eloquent, an AI dictation app that works mostly offline, turning messy speech into clean, ready-to-use text without sending data to the cloud.
The app runs AI models directly on your device, transcribing speech in real time, removing filler words and correcting errors. It can also format text into styles like key points, formal, short or long versions. While it works offline, users can enable cloud processing with Gemini for enhanced results.
It supports custom dictionaries, learns your vocabulary over time and includes tools like word count tracking and searchable recordings. Currently available on iOS, an Android version is likely coming soon.
