Google appears to be preparing a major rebrand of its Fitbit software and services. The Fitbit app could be renamed “Google Health,” along with a new “Google Health Premium” subscription, while keeping current pricing.
Hints of the change briefly appeared in Google Store and App Store listings, featuring a new multicolor heart logo, but were quickly removed – suggesting the rollout may have been premature or still in progress.
The direction is clear: while Fitbit branding will likely remain for hardware, Google is moving its apps and services under its own brand as it continues to integrate Fitbit into its ecosystem.
