YouTube is expanding its picture-in-picture (PiP) feature to all users globally for free.
Non-Premium users will be able to watch long-form, non-music videos in a floating window while using other apps on Android and iOS. The mini player can be moved, resized and controlled without leaving the screen.
Premium tiers remain unchanged: PiP for music content is still exclusive to paid subscribers, while free users are limited to non-music videos.
The rollout has started and will reach all users worldwide in the coming months.
