Apple raised Mac and iPad prices

Apple has begun raising prices across several product categories following warnings from CEO Tim Cook about increasing memory and storage costs. The MacBook Neo now starts at $699 instead of $599, while the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iPad Air, iPad Pro and HomePod models have also seen significant price increases.

The iPhone lineup remains unaffected for now, but future models could face similar hikes. Rising component costs, manufacturing expenses, tariffs and AI investments are all contributing to higher prices.

Industry watchers note that Apple’s pricing decisions often influence the broader tech market. As Apple products become more expensive, competing brands may gain room to raise their own prices while still appearing more affordable, potentially leading to higher costs across the consumer electronics industry.
