Samsung’s budget Galaxy A27 will get modern hole-punch display

Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy A27, completing its latest Galaxy A series lineup. The biggest design upgrade is a new hole-punch AMOLED display that replaces the older teardrop notch, while retaining a Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.

The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, paired with at least 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It features a 50MP main camera, a 5MP ultrawide sensor, a 2MP macro camera, a new 12MP selfie camera and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging.

The Galaxy A27 ships with One UI 8.5 and comes with six generations of Android and One UI updates, six years of security support and several Galaxy AI features, including Object Eraser, voice transcription, an upgraded Bixby and Perplexity integration.

The device goes on sale in the US on July 14 for $350, offering updated hardware and long-term software support, though its value may be challenged by discounts on the higher-tier Galaxy A37.
