Google has announced the release of Gemini 3.5 Live Translate

Google has unveiled Gemini 3.5 Live Translate, a new AI-powered speech translation model capable of automatically detecting more than 70 languages and delivering natural-sounding translations in real time. Unlike traditional systems, it can translate continuously without waiting for speakers to finish talking, while preserving their tone, pace and voice characteristics.

The technology is coming to Google Meet, where it will support over 70 languages and more than 2,000 language combinations in a single meeting – far beyond the current five-language limit. The feature will first launch as a private preview for selected Google Workspace business customers later this month, with a broader rollout planned for later this year.
