Pebble founder Eric Migicovsky has announced delays for the upcoming Pebble Round 2 smartwatch and Index 01 smart ring. The Pebble Round 2, originally scheduled to begin shipping in May, is now expected to start shipping in July, with all pre-orders targeted for completion by September. The delay is due to a cosmetic issue discovered during pre-production testing.
The Index 01 smart ring has also been delayed as Pebble works to refine the entirely new product. Around 700 units have already been produced, with the company aiming to complete all pre-order shipments by early August.
Meanwhile, the Pebble Time 2 remains on schedule, with shipments expected to be completed by the end of July, although the company notes that unexpected delays are still possible.
