The Google Pixel 11 Pro XL has gone through a traditional durability test, including scratches, flame exposure, bending and a full teardown.
Its glass screen scratches at level 6 on the Mohs scale, with deeper marks appearing at level 7, while the aluminum frame holds up well. The display also survives around 20 seconds of direct flame exposure.
Most importantly, the Pixel 11 Pro XL shows almost no flex during the bend test, regardless of the direction of the force. The phone is also relatively easy to open, giving access to its internal components.
The teardown concludes that many common repairs should be fairly straightforward for professional technicians, which is good news for owners.
