Nothing will launch the Nothing OS 5.0 open beta, based on Android 17, on August 26 at 11:00 BST. The beta will initially be available only for the Nothing Phone (3).
Other devices will join the beta program over the coming months, including the Phone (4a) Pro in early September, the Phone (4a) and Phone (3a) series later in September, and the Phone (2a) series in October. Some models, including the Phone (3a) Lite and CMF Phone 2 Pro, will not receive an open beta.
The stable Nothing OS 5.0 update for the Phone (3) is expected in mid-October, with other supported devices following through January.
The update brings a large number of new features and changes, with Nothing promising a major overhaul based on Android 17.
