Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra could get a major camera redesign

New CAD-based renders offer a detailed look at how Samsung’s Galaxy S27 Ultra could look, revealing a significantly redesigned camera system.

The biggest change is a large, asymmetrical camera island that replaces the more vertical layout of the current Ultra models. Samsung could also drop the dedicated 3x telephoto camera and rely on the periscope zoom instead.

The phone is expected to measure around 163.76 x 78.25 x 7.97mm, making it only slightly larger than its predecessor. The S Pen is also expected to remain.

Other rumored upgrades include a silicon-carbon battery, new ISOCELL and Sony camera sensors, and either a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 or Exynos 2700 chipset. Samsung is reportedly preparing the S27 Ultra for an early 2027 launch.
