Samsung appears to be bringing the Galaxy S26’s Horizontal Lock camera feature to the Galaxy S25 series through the One UI 9 beta.
The feature, part of Super Steady mode, uses gyroscope data and heavy cropping to keep video level with the horizon even when the phone is tilted or rotated. The Galaxy S25 One UI 9 Beta 1 is now rolling out in South Korea, the UK and India with Android 17.
Samsung’s changelog doesn’t mention Horizontal Lock, suggesting the beta may include several other Galaxy S26 features that have yet to be discovered.
