Google Maps is rolling out a small but useful update on Android Auto that makes upcoming intersections easier to understand at a glance.
The app now shows a floating indicator near the next-turn street name, highlighting whether drivers can expect a traffic light or stop sign at the upcoming intersection. The feature also appears on phones, suggesting it may eventually be available through CarPlay as well.
The update provides a quick visual cue about what to expect at the next turn, which can be particularly helpful when driving in unfamiliar areas. It appears to be rolling out through a server-side update.
