WeChat is launching TenPayGo, a dedicated payment app for tourists visiting China. It lets travelers pay anywhere WeChat Pay is accepted using Apple Pay, other supported international wallets or a payment card.
The app also offers AI-powered features such as identifying landmarks and objects from photos and translating menus. Support for public transport tickets and easier tax refunds in Shenzhen is coming soon.
