iFixit has tested the repairability of the Apple Watch Series 12 and Watch Ultra 4, and both remain difficult to repair. The Series 12 scores 4/10, one point higher than its predecessor, thanks to easier battery removal and a simplified display connector.
However, replacing the battery still requires removing the display, increasing the risk of damage. The Watch Ultra 4 remains unchanged, with its glued display making battery replacement particularly difficult and potentially affecting water resistance.
iFixit also says Apple may not fully comply with some US Right to Repair laws because it does not provide the same repair tools, parts and manuals for Apple Watches that it offers for other devices.
