Anthropic has launched Claude Haiku 5.5, its fastest and most affordable Claude model so far. It outperforms Haiku 4.5, approaches the performance of the more expensive Sonnet 5.5, and beats GPT-6 Luna in Anthropic’s benchmarks.
Haiku 5.5 costs nearly 75% less than its predecessor, at $0.10 per million input tokens and $0.50 per million output tokens. It also introduces adjustable effort levels from Low to Max, allowing users to balance performance and cost.
The model is now available through Anthropic’s Claude Platform, Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.
