Apple warns iPhone users about mercenary spyware attacks

Apple has warned iPhone users in 98 countries about “mercenary spyware attacks” that could compromise their personal data. The spyware, like NSO’s Pegasus, can completely compromise an iPhone without user interaction. Apple detects these attacks and alerts victims, urging them to take the warnings seriously. The company advises affected users to activate Lockdown Mode for added security. Although Apple is confident in its detection methods, it acknowledges it cannot be 100% certain.
