Google added dual-screen conversation mode to Translate app

Foldable phones offer unique benefits, especially with their outer displays that allow for regular phone use when folded. A standout feature is Google Translate’s dual-screen conversation mode, initially highlighted on the Pixel Fold. This mode shows translations on both the outer and inner displays, making face-to-face conversations easier. While initially accessible via Google Assistant, Google has since integrated this feature directly into the Google Translate app. However, it’s only available on Google and Samsung foldables running Android 14, as other foldables lack the necessary dual-display mode API. To use it, unfold your phone, open Google Translate, and activate dual-screen mode from the conversation feature.
