YouTube is rolling out a new supervision feature globally that allows parents to link their accounts to their teen’s YouTube account. This feature gives parents insights into their teen’s activity, such as subscriptions, comments, and video uploads, through YouTube’s Family Center. Both parents and teens receive email notifications about notable actions like video uploads or livestreams. YouTube calls this the “first iteration” of the feature, with plans for additional updates. Teens and parents can mutually turn off the supervision feature at any time.
