At Apple’s iPhone 16 event, the company unveiled a minor refresh to its AirPods Max headphones. The only notable changes are the switch from a Lightning port to USB-C for charging and support for Personalized Spatial Audio on iPhones running iOS 18. Otherwise, sound quality, battery life, and other features remain unchanged. Apple is hoping to attract buyers with new color options, including Starlight, Midnight, Purple, Orange, and Blue. The updated AirPods Max are available for preorder at $549, with general availability starting on September 20.
