KTM is set to bring Android Automotive to motorcycles with its new Communication Control Unit (CCU) for upcoming premium models. The CCU will power a TFT dashboard with 32GB of storage, 3GB of RAM and features like eSIM, GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
While the Android Automotive OS won’t include Google apps, it will offer offline map navigation with real-time guidance and route planning. The system will seamlessly reconnect with smartphones and support over-the-air updates in the future. This marks a significant step in integrating familiar OS interfaces into motorcycles, enhancing navigation and third-party app use for riders.
