Indonesia banned sale of Apple iPhone 16

Indonesia has banned the sale and use of the iPhone 16 and other new Apple products due to Apple’s failure to meet its investment commitments. The ban affects both new sales and previously sold devices, posing challenges for tourists. Indonesia requires foreign companies to meet a 40% local content mandate and Apple’s unfulfilled pledge included plans for research facilities.
