Google’s Pixel 9 introduced the option to transfer data post-setup, allowing users to explore their new phone before transferring information. This feature will roll out to more Android devices in 2025 via updates to Android Switch. The updated process is 40% faster for iOS-to-Android transfers and simplifies moving chats, contacts, calendars and more. RCS also enhances cross-platform messaging, but full RCS transfer support remains exclusive to the Pixel 9 for now.
