A beta version of Android 16 includes an early look at Google’s new Android Desktop Mode, which could let users plug their phone into a monitor for a PC-like experience. Enabled on a Pixel 8 Pro, it offers a taskbar, windowed apps, and multitasking features similar to Samsung DeX. Though promising, the feature may not launch with Android 16 and could be delayed to a future update or Android 17.
