Apple will release only premium iPhones in fall 2026

Apple is reportedly reshuffling its iPhone release schedule for 2026 to accommodate its first foldable iPhone, which will launch alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and new “Air” models. The standard iPhone 18 is expected to be delayed until spring 2027. The foldable will feature a book-style design with a 5.7-inch external and nearly 8-inch internal display, use Face ID, and be under 5mm thick when open. Additionally, the iPhone 18 Pro models are expected to introduce under-display Face ID, while the iPhone 17 Air may need a new battery case due to shorter battery life.
