Google just leaked Android’s new design language

Google has accidentally leaked details about its upcoming Android redesign, Material 3 Expressive, via a now-deleted blog post. Touted as the company’s “most researched” interface update, it aims to improve usability and visual appeal through refined use of color, motion and layout. Developed with input from over 18,000 participants, the redesign reportedly helps users find interface elements up to four times faster and narrows the usability gap between age groups. Material 3 Expressive is expected to debut officially at Google I/O, alongside broader Android UI changes like updated icons, fonts and quick settings.
