Apple may add camera controls and sleep detection to AirPods

Apple is reportedly planning major AirPods updates for WWDC 2025, including a feature to snap iPhone or iPad photos by tapping the AirPods stem. Other expected features include auto-pausing audio when you fall asleep, new head gestures for volume control, a “studio quality” mic mode, and easier AirPods pairing for students using shared iPads. WWDC kicks off June 9.
