AirTag-tracked sneakers, donated to Red Cross, ended up in a second-hand shop

A TikTok user tracked his donated sneakers with an AirTag after dropping them off at a Red Cross bin in Germany. The shoes traveled through Austria, Slovenia and Croatia before ending up for sale in Bosnia, where he bought them back for €10. While surprising, this reflects the Red Cross’s clothing donation model, where surplus items are sold to recycling companies and often resold abroad – highlighting the unexpected journeys of donated goods.
