Google is testing a new app called Doppl that lets users virtually try on outfits using AI-generated images and animations. By uploading a full-body photo and a screenshot of an outfit, the app shows what you might look like wearing it. While promising, it has quirks — like trouble with pants, mismatched body parts, and slimming down users in mirror selfies. It also blocks explicit or political images. Despite flaws, Doppl expands on Google’s existing virtual try-on tech and could become a useful fashion tool. The app is currently available in the US on Android and iOS.
