The new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is the first in the Flip series to support Samsung DeX, turning the compact foldable into a full desktop-like PC when connected to an external display. Unlike its predecessors, it now handles DeX well thanks to improved thermals. Users can launch DeX even without unfolding the phone. However, Samsung missed the chance to use the cover screen as a touchpad, a feature Motorola’s Razr offers. Still, with full DeX and wired desktop support, the Z Flip 7 now matches Samsung’s more productivity-focused devices.
