Gemini is coming to Google TV

Google is bringing Gemini to Google TV, starting today with TCL’s new QM9K series and rolling out to other TVs and streaming boxes later this year.

Like Google Assistant, it can play shows on command, but also enables free-flowing conversations — letting users search with vague descriptions, get recaps, or ask broader questions. Responses are read aloud with related YouTube suggestions.

Gemini will expand to the Google TV Streamer 4K, Walmart Onn 4K Pro, and upcoming Hisense and TCL 2025 models, competing with Samsung and LG smart TVs that are adding Microsoft’s Copilot AI.
