A new Android Canary build adds a “Show on home screen” toggle for Pixel’s At a Glance widget. When switched off, the widget disappears from the home screen but stays on the lock screen and AOD. The feature isn’t active yet, but it suggests Google is finally working on letting users fully remove At a Glance from the home screen without using third-party launchers. A similar option was tested in 2023 but never launched. If it ships, Pixel users will gain long-requested control over At a Glance placement.
