Google is launching WeatherNext 2, its most advanced AI weather model yet. It delivers far more accurate, hour-level forecasts and runs eight times faster by simulating hundreds of weather scenarios in under a minute. WeatherNext 2 improves predictions for the next 15 days and handles extreme weather better. The update will roll out across Pixel Weather, Google Search, Gemini and Google Maps, bringing more precise real-time alerts and short-term forecasts, though Google hasn’t detailed specific new app features yet.
