Oura has filed a complaint with the US International Trade Commission accusing Samsung and several other smart ring makers — including Reebok, Zepp Health and Nexxbase — of infringing its patents. The patents cover ring design, components and manufacturing methods. Samsung previously tried to preemptively challenge Oura in court but the case was dismissed. Oura says it has resolved similar disputes through licensing deals with other brands, and Samsung may need a similar agreement to keep selling the Galaxy Ring in the US if Oura wins.
