Apple announces departure of two more top executives

Apple is undergoing another major leadership shakeup as two more top executives — General Counsel Katherine Adams and VP Lisa Jackson — announce their retirements for 2026. Apple has hired Jennifer Newstead, formerly Meta’s chief legal officer, to become general counsel in March 2026.

Under the transition plan, Jackson’s Government Affairs team will move to Adams, then to Newstead, while Apple’s environmental and social initiatives will shift under COO Sabih Khan.

These exits follow several recent high-level departures — including Apple’s AI chief John Giannandrea, design head Alan Dye, former COO Jeff Williams, and CFO Luca Maestri — marking one of the largest leadership turnovers of the Tim Cook era.
