OpenAI is reportedly preparing its first hardware product – AI-powered earbuds. According to a Chinese tipster, the company has scaled back earlier, more ambitious hardware plans, such as a pendant or pen, likely due to rising costs, and opted for a simpler product instead.
The earbuds, rumored to be called “Dime,” are expected to launch by the end of the year. A more advanced version could follow once high-bandwidth memory supply constraints ease.
