Apple’s new Siri delayed again, will not be included in iOS 26.4

Apple has reportedly delayed parts of its upgraded Siri after internal testing revealed multiple issues. According to Mark Gurman, the improved Siri is now expected to arrive with iOS 26.5 in May, rather than iOS 26.4.

Testers experienced problems such as slow responses, inaccurate answers, difficulty with complex queries and unexpected handoffs to ChatGPT instead of Apple’s own models. Some also reported issues understanding fast speech and interruptions mid-sentence.

Internal builds of iOS 26.5 reportedly include features like personal data access, web search, and image generation, though many Siri upgrades and app-intents capabilities may still be pushed to iOS 27 later in the year.
