Apple has launched the iPhone 17e for $599

Apple has launched the iPhone 17e at $599, positioning it against Google’s Pixel 10a, which starts at $499.

While the Pixel 10a keeps the same chip as its predecessor, the iPhone 17e upgrades to the new 3nm A19 chip and a faster C1X modem. It retains a 6.1-inch notched 60Hz display but adds Ceramic Shield 2 protection and introduces MagSafe with 15W Qi2 charging. Other features include an aluminum build, IP68 rating, a single 48MP camera with 4K Dolby Vision recording and iOS 26 out of the box.

Storage gets a boost, with the base model now offering 256GB for $599, while the 512GB version drops to $799. Preorders begin March 4, with sales starting March 11.

At $599 for 256GB, the Pixel 10a directly competes with the iPhone 17e, though Google undercuts Apple with a $499 128GB entry model.
