Google and Samsung are developing smart and XR glasses and apps are starting to adapt to the new form factor.
The Spotify app’s latest beta suggests upcoming support for XR glasses, including features like a “Now Playing” view and on-screen lyrics.
However, the experience will still rely on a connected smartphone, as apps are processed on the phone and then displayed on the glasses rather than running directly on them.
