Apple Maps will soon introducing ads

Apple is reportedly preparing to introduce ads in Apple Maps, with an announcement possibly coming soon. The ads would appear in search results as sponsored business listings, similar to how ads work in the App Store.

The system is expected to function like Google Maps, allowing businesses to bid for visibility in search queries. Ads could start appearing as early as this summer across iPhone, other devices and the web.

This move is part of Apple’s broader push to grow its services revenue, alongside recent Apple Maps updates in iOS 26, such as preferred routes, visited places tracking, and improved natural language search.
