Google has released Android 17 Beta 4, revealing hints of a new Pixel feature called “Pixel Glow.”
The feature appears to be an LED-based notification system that lights up on the back of the phone when it’s placed face down, using different colors for alerts, calls and interactions with Gemini.
Code suggests Pixel Glow will require dedicated hardware, though leaked renders of upcoming Pixel phones don’t show any visible lighting yet, leaving its final implementation unclear.
