A major leak has revealed Sony’s upcoming WH-1000X headphones ahead of their official launch. The new model is expected to sit above the WH-1000XM6 rather than replace it, featuring a redesigned hinge with brushed metal accents, a thicker headband, and an extra physical button.
The headphones reportedly include 12 microphones, adaptive ANC, Sony’s QN3 noise-canceling chip and a new V3 processor for improved sound and noise cancellation. Battery life is rated at up to 24 hours with ANC on and 32 hours with ANC off.
The WH-1000X will launch in black and white colors with a redesigned carrying case and are expected to cost $649, making them significantly more expensive than the XM6.
